Manila is 100% Grüner Veltliner from the north-western slopes of the Neusiedlersee. leaving it to macerate on the skins for a week in amphora it then ages in the same vessel for another 7 months. Extremely bright with a lot of texture and herbaceousness, it goes well with any spicy food or on its own on a cosy night in.
If you are a connoisseur of Austrian wines you will have come by the name Nittnaus at least once. A staple in winemaking from the Burgenland the father Hans Nittnaus has been a teacher to many of our own producers but also to his own family. Andreas and Martin have been making wine under their own labels for a couple of years and have now paired up with their Cousin Lydia and created a joint Family project to carry the name Nittnaus into a new area of winemaking.
