Cidre Engishofer Apfel 2019
Engishofer is a late-ripening apple variety, that shows its first fruits in late October and November. With late harvest times and very high acidity that makes it rather inedible unless cooked, it has almost completely disappeared. Except for a few trees in Peter Zahner's estate. He says, they are an important part of the ecosystem in his garden and remind him of times when cider played a big part in swiss culture.
Benjamin and Markus went and foraged the apples and ét voilà the Engishofer cider was born. Deliciously fruity with a champagne-style sparkling nature. This should be a staple with anyone's roast dinner.
